Explore the Anti-Suffrage Movement in Delaware, with a focus on Mary Wilson Thompson. While many are familiar with the suffrage movement in general, few know the history of the anti-suffrage movement, especially the role that Delaware women played in prohibiting Delaware from being one of the thirty-six states required to ratify the 19th Amendment. In this presentation, attendees will: Learn who the primary suffragists and anti-suffragists were in Delaware. Discover the reasoning behind the stand against suffrage. Hear a first-hand account of what happened on that fateful day. Learn about the amazing life of Mary Wilson Thompson, leader of the Anti-Suffrage movement in Delaware. At the end of the program, attendees are offered a chance to vote for or against the 19th Amendment to see how it would fare today.

Engineer Early Grab & Go STEM Kits ~ Spring 2026The Engineer Early Grab & Go STEM Kits seek to provide a basic introduction to a variety of STEM topics. Each Kit includes activities that reinforce the STEM topic of that MONTH. The overall goal of the Kit meets Engineer Early’s mission to set the gears of wonder in motion, for early learners, through the power of STEM.Each MONTH, the Kit has a STEM theme. Kits are designed for a variety of grade ranges from Kindergarten up to 6th grade. (Younger students will need to engage with caregivers to complete the activities; whereas, older students can work more independently.) Kits are distributed on or as close to the 4th Saturday of the MONTH as possible. Kits are available on a first come-first served basis, so pick up a kit today, while supplies lasts!
