Get together to read, talk about books, and do fun activities that go along with the books at Bookworm Buddies on Monday, November 3rd from 4:00-5:00pm. Our monthly Bookworm Buddies is growing and so we are going to split up different ages into groups. Please register children only at greenwood.lib.de.us or by calling (302) 855-1242.Butterflies (ages 6-8) will be diving into Windy Night with Wild Horses by Mary Pope Osborne, followed by related activities. Kids are encouraged to read (or listen to) the book before the program. Copies of the book will be available at the Greenwood Public Library from early September, and copies are also available for instant download on the Hoopla app.Caterpillars (ages 3-5) will have their own story time and craft followed by play time.Little Wrigglers (ages 0-2) will have their own play area with their parents or caregivers.This program provides an opportunity for young readers to develop literacy, critical thinking, and foster social interaction.

Have you ever wondered what the different branches of the United States Military actually do? All are invited to learn about and celebrate our veterans on Tuesday, November 4 @ 5 pm at the Greenwood Public Library. Speakers from various armed forces branches will educate us on their role in preserving the freedoms we enjoy along with members of the Woodbridge High School ROTC will be presenting the Color Guard.. There will also be materials at the library on Friday October 31st- Monday November 3rd to make cards for veterans. This program is targeted to enrich patrons' understanding of United States histories through lecture by qualified organizations and to honor American Veterans. For more info call 302-855-1242.

L.E.A.P. (Literacy Education Assistance Pups) Program â Read to the Dogs - is free and open to children of all ages. Come in to practice your reading and have a tail-wagginâ good time! L.E.A.P. sessions will be held at the Greenwood Library on the first and third Thursdays of the month. No registration is required; just come to the Greenwood Library any time between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m., choose a 4-legged, tail-wagging reading partner, and enjoy a good book together.
