Self-Management Programs are interactive sessions that help people who have ongoing health conditions learn how to live life to the fullest. For many people, this means living with less stress, more energy, and a greater ability to do the things they want to do. These programs are clinically proven to reduce symptoms and improve quality of life. Programs are open to adults of all ages and abilities. They are evidence-based, originally developed at Stanford University, and feature the following: Small-group workshops â 12 to 16 participants 2.5-hour sessions, once a week for six weeks Community settings such as senior centers, places of worship, provider offices, libraries, and hospitals, when in-person sessions are available

Check in will be Saturday August 23, 2025 beginning 9:00AMMain Competition: Chicken WingsWings can be smoked or grilled using the approved heat sources (Wood/Charcoal).Wings can be whole, flats, or drums.Wings should not be injected, seasoned or marinated prior to check-in.Competitors are required to cook 2lbs of chicken wings, in any combination of flats or drums.Wings must be cooked to an internal temperature of 165'FSchedule:Saturday 9:00AM: Check-In10:00AM: Cooking may begin1:45PM: Wings due to judges table2:00PM: Judging Begins3:00 PM: Awards.Scoring: Judges will score each meat entry a separate score (from 1-9) in three areas: Appearance, Tenderness and Taste. The Taste score will be multiplied by (2), the Tenderness score will be multiplied by (1.5) and the Appearance score will be multiplied by (.5). The highest score from (1) judge is 36, judges scores are added together.Garnish is optional. If used it is limited to green leaf lettuce. PROHIBITED garnish shall receive a score of one (1) on appearance. No side sauce or pools of sauce. Sauce must be applied directly to the meat. Judges are directed to judge on their own personal taste, what they feel is the best tasting, tender, and looking BBQ will get the best score.

All entries must be at the library by Friday, August 22nd, @ 4:45 pm. Entry Fee waived for the celebration of the first annual brownie competition. Please contact the library a 302-398-4647. Register and possibly win a trophy and $25 dollar gift card.Brownie Bake off Requirements: All entries must be homemade, not store-bought. Participants must provide a complete recipe (including ingredients, measurements, instructions, and baking time) with their entry. Entries should be fully baked and ready to serve. All entries must have a minimum of one 9x 9 tray of brownies. Please do not bring add-ons to your recipes. This is a bake-off competition and we are looking to specifically judge the âbakedâ goods. Have your dish prepared for the judge. Please be sure to have all items in the library in time. Late entries will not be accepted. Baked goods are judged on appearance, texture, and flavor.
