The Rehoboth Art League welcomes back the Young at Art exhibition, which showcases teacher-selected artwork from Sussex County children in grades kindergarten through high school. This show celebrates the next generation of Delaware artists by providing local young creatives with support and encouragement to pursue their artistic ambitions. Young at Art takes over the Corkran and Tubbs galleries from March 14-29 at the Rehoboth Art League. The public and participating students are welcome to celebrate the exhibition’s opening by visiting the galleries throughout the day on Saturday, March 14th. Each year, the Rehoboth Art League awards a variety of cash and scholarship prizes to outstanding works, including the Tom Wilson Award for Best in Show, the James Kenneth Derrickson Memorial Scholarship, the VIA Awards of Excellence, the Howard Pyle Studio Group Awards of Excellence, and more. Every piece featured in the show is hand-selected by art teachers across the county, with this opportunity providing young locals with the chance to display their art in a gallery space for the first time.  This year, RAL welcomes twenty-nine public and private schools to exhibit a selection of their students’ artworks in the galleries on the historic Henlopen Acres campus. The Rehoboth Art League welcomes back the Young at Art exhibition, which showcases teacher-selected artwork from Sussex County children in grades kindergarten through high school. This show celebrates the next generation of Delaware artists by providing local young creatives with support and encouragement to pursue their artistic ambitions. Young at Art takes over the Corkran and Tubbs galleries from March 14-29 at the Rehoboth Art League. The public and participating students are welcome to celebrate the exhibition’s opening by visiting the galleries throughout the day on Saturday, March 14th. Each year, the Rehoboth Art League awards a variety of cash and scholarship prizes to outstanding works, including the Tom Wilson Award for Best in Show, the James Kenneth Derrickson Memorial Scholarship, the VIA Awards of Excellence, the Howard Pyle Studio Group Awards of Excellence, and more. Every piece featured in the show is hand-selected by art teachers across the county, with this opportunity providing young locals with the chance to display their art in a gallery space for the first time.  This year, RAL welcomes twenty-nine public and private schools to exhibit a selection of their students’ artworks in the galleries on the historic Henlopen Acres campus. The Rehoboth Art League welcomes back the Young at Art exhibition, which showcases teacher-selected artwork from Sussex County children in grades kindergarten through high school. This show celebrates the next generation of Delaware artists by providing local young creatives with support and encouragement to pursue their artistic ambitions. Young at Art takes over the Corkran and Tubbs galleries from March 14-29 at the Rehoboth Art League. The public and participating students are welcome to celebrate the exhibition’s opening by visiting the galleries throughout the day on Saturday, March 14th. Each year, the Rehoboth Art League awards a variety of cash and scholarship prizes to outstanding works, including the Tom Wilson Award for Best in Show, the James Kenneth Derrickson Memorial Scholarship, the VIA Awards of Excellence, the Howard Pyle Studio Group Awards of Excellence, and more. Every piece featured in the show is hand-selected by art teachers across the county, with this opportunity providing young locals with the chance to display their art in a gallery space for the first time.  This year, RAL welcomes twenty-nine public and private schools to exhibit a selection of their students’ artworks in the galleries on the historic Henlopen Acres campus. REHOBOTH ART LEAGUE TO HOST BUS TRIP TO BALTIMORE MUSEUM OF ARTVIEWING SPECIAL EXHIBIT AMY SHERALD: AMERICAN SUBLIME ON APRIL 1REHOBOTH BEACH, DE – The Rehoboth Art League (RAL) has announced a day trip to Baltimore, Md. To visit the Baltimore Museum of Art (BMA) on Wednesday, April 1st. The group will have the chance to view the acclaimed exhibit Amy Sherald: American Sublime ahead of its closing on April 5th. Advanced tickets are required for the trip and cost $75 per person and can be purchased at RehobothArtLeague.org. Ticket holders will ride a Jolly Trolley coach bus to the museum, departing at 8:00 a.m. from the Rehoboth Beach Fresh Market parking lot, returning to Rehoboth at approximately 6:00 p.m.BMA’s Amy Sherald: American Sublime showcases 38 paintings created from 2007 to the present, telling the story of Sherald’s vision and practice from her early, rarely seen works to her iconic, larger-than-life portraits of Black Americans, including the National Portrait Gallery’s official portrait of former First Lady Michelle Obama.In addition to this special exhibition, on view in the galleries are modern art masterpieces from the internationally renowned Cone Collection, over 1,000 artworks from Native North America, works from more than 200 African states and societies, and a collection of 15th- through 19th-century European art including Medieval and Renaissance works. Weather permitting, the nearly three-acre Sculpture Gardens will also be open.Tickets for the bus trip include timed entry to Amy Sherald: American Sublime.
