Tracy GuiteauTracy Guiteau is a visionary artist whose passion for creativity has shaped her life’s journey. For Tracy, art is not just a career choice it is a destiny that has guided her every step. Born to traditional Haitian parents in New York, Tracy faced the challenge of reconciling her artistic calling with her parents’ expectations of pursuing a career in nursing. However, the undeniable pull of art led her to make a courageous decision. Leaving tradition behind, she enrolled in the Rhode Island School of Design, where she immersed herself in the world of fashion design and obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts.Tracy’s time at the Rhode Island School of Design fueled her artistic curiosity, inspiring her to broaden her horizons through extensive travel and refine her skills at the University of Westminster in London. These experiences enriched her creative process and imbued her work with a unique perspective.Today, Tracy Guiteau’s remarkable talent and insatiable spirit for art have propelled her to incredible heights. Her captivating artworks have been showcased in prestigious international exhibitions, including the esteemed Miami Art Basel. Notably, Tracy’s exceptional style and artistic vision led her to collaborate with renowned figures such as top tennis player Naomi Osaka and the digital media company founded by iconic athlete LeBron James during the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.In a particularly significant moment in Tracy’s career, Disney recognized her exceptional artistic prowess and selected her to be a part of a special art exhibition in conjunction with the launch of the Black Panther sequel film, “Wakanda Forever.” This honor is a testament to Tracy’s ability to create art that resonates with audiences on a profound level. What makes Tracy’s participation in this exhibition even more extraordinary is that her artwork was auctioned off, with all proceeds generously donated to the Chadwick Boseman Foundation for the Arts. Abstract Expressionism Inspired by Joan Mitchell

REGISTER HEREJoin us for an amazing new Abstract Painting Workshop in the spirit of Joan Mitchell and the Abstract Expressionism movement. In this full day workshop, we will create a piece of non-representational art, using spontaneous brushstrokes and bold use of color, line and form. Using mixed mediums and different tools, we will combine acrylic paint, gels and mediums with chalk, soft pastels, graphite and more. Abstract Expressionism is an American art movement that emerged in the 1940s and 1950s. You may recognize paintings in this category which are often characterised by gestural brushstrokes or mark-making, the impression of spontaneity, large fields of color, and action. With a short lesson on color theory, blending, and Abstract Expressionism, students will leave the workshop with their creations to add to their future art projects or to hang as a unique fine art work! Rey’s artwork has been recognized in national awards and exhibitions by notable museum and gallery professionals including Jade Dellinger, Director of Exhibits & Collections, Bob Rauschenberg Gallery, Fort Myers, FL Julie Sasse, Chief Curator, Tucson Museum of Art, Tucson AZ Erin Wright, Commissioning Editor and Producer, Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, CA and Gisela Carbonell, Curator, Cornell Fine Arts Museum, . Honored with the 2024 Dina Baker Fund Grant from the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County, Rey’s work has graced galleries across the globe. Recent solo shows include Bailey Contemporary Arts Gallery, Pompano Beach, FL, Tauni De Lessep Gallery at Palm Beach Atlantic University, West Palm Beach, FL, and the Hammond Hall Gallery, Jacksonville State University, Jacksonville, AL. Her group exhibitions span the Baker Museum, Naples, FL, Flatiron Gallery, New York, NY, Studio 33, Spain, Art Brut Biennale, Netherlands, and Project Space Brut, South Korea. Rey was awarded artist residencies at Bailey Contemporary Arts (2023-2024), School of Visual Arts in New York (2019), and Sun Peaks Center for Art and Sustainability (2016). Her art is in the collections of Bristol-Myers Squibb Co., New York, NY, First Albany, New York, NY, and Wasmer Art Collection at Florida Gulf Coast University, Fort Myers, FL. A dynamic lecturer, Rey has inspired students at Florida Gulf Coast University, New College, and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. With nearly a decade of teaching drawing, painting, and creativity in Florida, Rey brings a wealth of experience and education to her work. Her background includes extensive undergraduate coursework in drawing, painting, 3-D design, performance art, and art history and graduate courses in film and computer art. She holds an MBA in Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, an A.A.S. in Interior Design from Parsons School of Design, an M.A. in Jewish Education from the Jewish Theological Seminary, and a B.A. in Judaic Studies from the University at Albany. REGISTER HERERadical Play-making: A Tabula Rasa performance/theater workshop by Sea Change CollectivePerformance art is a vibrant and dynamic form of artistic expression that transcends traditional boundaries, allowing individuals to explore their creativity in profound ways. In this unique workshop, we remind adults how to play!Join Sea Change Collective co-founders, Autumn Kioti Horne and Suzanne Ankrum, in discovering the building blocks for devising a performance using the items, spaces and bodies at hand. This is an arts workshop where body and mind are the paint and brush, and the world is your canvas. What to expect in this session: Using simple materials such as chairs and found objects, inspiration from poetry, visual art, and theatre, students will learn the basics of building a performance. Intructors Suzanne and Autumn will lead the class through simple movement exercises (no movement training required, and all bodies and abilities are welcome) and techniques that will help to open your mind to experiencing everyday objects and situations in a new way.Students will complete the workshop having created a mini-performance piece of their own, scripted or unscripted, to use as a jumping off point for future expansion. Requirements: No previous movement training is required, just a willingness to try something new, to collaborate, to come together as a community, to tell our stories, to have fun, and to find your radical artistic voice. About the Collective: Sea Change Collective, founded in 2024 by interdisciplinary artist and Artlife WPB Commission recipient Autumn Kioti Horne, and Artist Innovation Fellowship recipient Suzanne Ankrum, emerged from the notion that the traditional theatrical model was not addressing the needs and concerns of a changing world, a changing audience, and a diversity of artists. The Sea Change Collective is a unique performative response to the dynamic state of our world in three tributaries: Sea Change, Potential Energy Project, and Tabula Rasa. We can be found creating unique site specific performances throughout South Florida, most recently Hell is Empty and the Devils are Here, inspired by Shakespeare’s The Tempest, and created for Broward County’s Festival of the Classics. Thursday, May 29th, 10:30am – 1:30pmFriday, May 30th, 10:30am – 1:30pm*Registering for this ticket includes both dates of the 2-Day workshops Color is one of the most powerful tools when creating a piece of art in any medium. Color not only conveys feelings and emotions, but also passes inconspicuous messages to the viewer. Color Theory Basics is an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of color and color mixing with acrylic paint in a 2-Day workshop. The extended time gives more opportunity to practice as well. The Color Theory Basics Workshop is designed for the amateur artist who needs to solidify the basic, fundamental elements and structures of color knowledge. In order to gain this knowledge, the attendee will apply the information given in class through small projects completed during class hours. The goal is to enhance the students abilities on how to mix colors for the projects. This will help the students achieve a strong visual balance and convey meaningful messages to the viewers of their works. The workshop will be divided in to 3 small projects that will enhance the knowledge of the participants. This will be an opportunity to practice and get familiar with the blending of colors which will be taught in the 2-Day Color Theory workshop. Structure (Subject to adjustments day of based on pace of workshop attendees) Focus on theories of color development and terminology Section A Primary, Secondary and Tertiary colors including RYB, RGB, AND CMYK color wheel Demonstration Practice: Apply theory on a 8.5×11 canvas board – 45 minutes Section B Hue, Saturation, Value, and Temperature Demonstration Practice: Apply theory on a 8.5×11 canvas board – 45 minutes Section C Color Harmony: Monochrome, Complementary, Split Complementary, Triadic, Tetradic, Analogous Demonstration Practice: Apply theory on a 8.5×11 canvas board – 90 minutes Supplies All Materials will be provided! *I t is recommended that you bring a snack or lunch, there will be a short break. There is a refrigerator and microwave on site if needed. Instructor Information: Beverly Manning has been hosting workshops with Arts Warehouse since 2019, such as Intro to Creativity and Color Theory. Beverly was born in New York City and raised in Ecuador. She graduated from Western Connecticut State University with a BA degree in Art with a concentration in Graphic Design and Photography. In 1996 she moved to Florida where she worked as a Graphic Designer. Best known for her colorful abstract paintings, Manning acquired her technical skills by working with renowned painters from the South Florida area. She uses a wide range of mediums such as acrylics, newspaper, oil pastels and crayons, even her interior house paints. In other words, any and everything that can help to create and obtain vibrant paintings. Inspiration comes in many different forms, such as photos, flowers, and anything that touches her creativity. The main objective is to communicate feelings through colors and flowing lines that suggest the freedom of movement. Manning uses an array of techniques which range from Tapping and Meditation to art exercises in order to tune into her feelings. The techniques open up her creativity and prevents judgement towards her own creations. In March of 2018, Manning exhibited at the office of The Octopi Group in Delray Beach, where 27 paintings in a collection where presented. She also has exhibited at Style de Vie and Cornell Museum in Delray Beach.
