Gulf Islands National Seashore will host a National Public Lands Day event on Sept 26, from 9 am to 12 p.m. in the Davis Bayou Area, Ocean Springs Mississippi. Volunteers should meet at Pavilion 3. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Volunteers will assist with trimming and cutting vegetation, clearing out layers of debris with rakes, leaf blowers, and other tools, and removing downed branches and trash. Tools will be provided. Following the cleanup there will activities and programs provided for volutneers and visitors.
