The 29th Annual Community Peace Celebration is Friday, June 20th, from 2:00 – 6:00 pm.  It will be held on the grounds of the UGMTC Administrative Offices, located at 376 Western Avenue North, St. Paul, MN 55103. Learn more at communitypeacecelebration.org UGMTC is the Union Gospel Mission – Twin Cities, formerly known as the Ober Community Center. There is NO religious affiliation associated with the Community Peace Celebration (CPC) the event has a history with the Ober Center, which is central to the Rondo neighborhood. The UGMTC offered us their space for the event – and its “mission” is to feed and find shelter for the homeless, which fits nicely with our purpose – sharing love and cultivating peace. The CPC is a free event with live music, dance, and spoken word performances. Lots of free food too!  Elders and Change-Makers from the Rondo and Frogtown neighborhoods are recognized. There are usually about 20 exhibitors  – mostly offering information and neighborhood resources. Leo Fortune will be representing ACW during the event.

We also serve Elote corn, rolls from Aki’s, special pickles and whoopie pies to finish. There will be an informal Seafood Chowdah feed at ACW World Headquarters located at at 699 Lowry Ave NE, Minneapolis 55418 for all ACW Patrons who have contributed $500 and above.

Next critique is June 30th at 6:00pm to 8:30pm at 699 Lowry Ave. NE C4 will be meeting to critique Barbara Bridges’ and Kelly Frankenberg’s art on June 30th.
