ABOUT THE EVENTHomecoming 2026: RIVHSA Turns 40For four decades, RIVHSA has been more than an organization â weâve been a home.  A home for shared purpose, bold ideas, transformative learning, and lifelong connections in this regional Head Start/Early Head Start network. Across our eight charter states and countless communities, our network has championed early childhood education, strengthened families, and inspired leadership that that endures for generations. Together, weâve built a strong foundation rooted in collaboration, advocacy, and innovation â one that continues to evolve with the needs of children, families, and the programs that serve them. Now, we invite you to join us the week of February 9, 2026 in Atlanta â where it all began â for our most memorable gathering yet: a Homecoming that not only celebrates our past but boldly charts our future.  Homecoming 2026 is more than a conference theme or tagline.  It is the launch event for a yearlong celebration of legacy and leadership, a reunion of champions past and present, and a rallying call for the work ahead.  Together, weâll honor the milestones that shaped our journey, spotlight the people and programs driving change today, and set our sights on the future weâre building for the next generation â just as we have for the last 40 years, and for many more to come. All ALPI offices will be closed in observance of Presidentâs Day. Presidentsâ Day is a federal holiday celebrated on the third Monday in February. Originally established in 1885 in recognition of President George Washington, the holiday became popularly known as Presidentsâ Day after it was moved as part of 1971s Uniform Monday Holiday Act, an attempt to create more three-day weekends for the nations workers. While several states still have individual holidays honoring the birthdays of Washington, Abraham Lincoln and other figures, Presidentsâ Day is now popularly viewed as a day to celebrate all U.S. presidents, past and present.
