Gratitude is powerful. It can shift our perspective and change a situation in an instant. Come out and create a journal to hold all the little expressions of gratitude you have in all the ways you love to express it. We’ll be using pockets, tags, basic collaging and bookmaking to make a not-so-traditional gratitude journal that is uniquely yours. It includes pictures, prompts and cards that reflect your own style and help you express gratitude in your own way. Make it more special and bring a few small pictures of things you are gratefulfor to include in your collage and journal (no more than what fits in a small resealable sandwich bag, please). This is totally optional. Other items will be available. Take home one Not-So-Traditional Gratitude Journal with a prompt list, tags, and cards created in the class. Claire Formilan from Beyond the Fold Paperie will walk you through the process step by step to create your softcover journals. No experience necessary. All materials will be included. If you are new to a Sound Bath Meditation, it is a very therapeutic form of meditation because as sound waves wash over your body, they move the brain into the more relaxed alpha & theta brainwave states. Sound meditations are wonderful for all types of meditators but are especially good for beginners because the tones & frequencies of the instruments give the mind something to hold onto and help cut through the mental chatter and quiet your mind. Poses are arranged to target the whole body, with a focus on awakening a thankful heart. This is a flow style yoga class, linking movement with breath, and includes gentle warm ups and cool downs. Breath techniques may be used to balance the mind and bring relaxation to the body.
