Friday, June 20, 5:30-9pm Bobby Farrellyâs âChampionsâ from 2023 is a masterful inclusionary film that stars Woody Harrelson as Marcus Marakovich, a highly skilled but undisciplined minor league basketball coach who loses his job and becomes the coach of The Friends Association of Capitol East, Iowa, a team of intellectually disabled adults. The Friends are played amazingly by actors with intellectual disabilities, notably Madison Devlin as Cosentino, Bradley Edens as Showtime, James Day Keith as Benny, and Kevin Iannucci. Kaitlin Olson of âItâs Always Sunny in Philadelphiaâ plays Alex, an actress who is Johnnyâs loving & protecting sister. Bobby Farrelly & his brother Peter, who co-directed Shallow Hal together, were given the Morton E. Ruderman Award in Inclusion in 2019. Instructor Paul Marino will introduce the film, raise questions to ponder, and host a post-viewing discussion. Sponsored by Chaseâs on the Beach and La Terraza Mexican Grille. Gallery Reception at The Hub and Jane’s 4-7pm:  Continuing Exhibition in The Hub’s Founders Gallery and Jane’s Feature Gallery: Making Waves II – a curated exhibition of emerging artists. Join The Hub and Jane’s as we explore new perspectives and interpretations of the world around us created by up-and-coming artists willing to break boundaries and embrace new points of view. Open to all visual art mediums: ceramics, painting, drawing, mixed media, sculpture, assemblage, photography, and video. Reception from 4-7pm at both galleries. Exhibition through July 27. It’s a must see for anyone who ever worked in or is interested in the restaurant business. It’s the story of two brothers, co-owners of a New Jersey Italian restaurant in the ’50s. Their names, hilariously are Primo & Secondo (Tony Shalhoub & Stanley Tucci). Primo is the chef and Secondo the front of the house manager. The food is great but they are losing customers to the restaurant down the street. They are planning for a Big Night to turn their business around. Released in 1996, it was nominated for two Sundance Awards, winning the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award.
