Bill Gallagher is a New Smyrna Beach, Florida artist and acclaimed oil painter known for vivid, narrative-driven scenes that blend contemporary life with the classic beauty of Florida’s landscapes. His art is defined by sweeping cloudscapes, luminous color, and intimate human moments set against the vast, expressive skies of Florida.  As a contemporary artist, Gallagher explores the emotional tension between the existential human experience and the monumental presence of nature. Whether depicting surfers, skaters, remote workers in a cafe, or a child’s first steps toward the sea, his paintings transform everyday scenes into modern American narratives.

The evening will begin with a reading by our guest poet followed by an open mic format for the remainder of the event. No advanced sign-up required. Adults (18+) only please. He’s a founder and past President of Orlando Area Poets, and hosts the Florida State Poets Association First Tuesday Open Mic. Peter has taught workshops about writing and publishing poetry throughout Central Florida. He’s also contributed articles about baseball history to over 20 publications. Peter moved to Orlando to help launch Golf Channel as its first Head of Programming. He now teaches Business of Film in Full Sail University’s Film Production MFA program. May 16: Peter M.
