NHS Theatre presents the musical comedy classic, "Hello, Dolly!" May 2, 3, 9, and 10 in the Niceville High School auditorium. This Broadway classic follows the story of matchmaker Dolly Levi as she sets out to snag a love for herself in the form of Horace Vandegelder of Yonkers, NY. Dolly's meddlesome ways create havoc and hilarity along the way, which has helped make this show a true Broadway classic. Directed by NHS Theatre Director, Ritchie Jackson, with Choreography by Nicci Fahle and Vocal Direction by Michael Walker.

Every year, the National Association of Letter Carriers launches the world's largest annual food Drive Stamp Out Hunger. In the Niceville area, Sharing and Caring of Niceville is a beneficiary. On May 10th, if citizens in the Niceville and surrounding area leave a bag or bags of non-expired, non-perishable food items by their mailbox, local and rural letter carriers will pick them and deliver them to a local food pantry. This happens nation-wide, check with your local NALC to see if they are participating.

The 22nd Annual Bob Hope Memorial Charity Golf Classic presented by Matrix will be held on Friday, May 16, and Saturday, May 17, at the Fort Walton Beach Golf Club. This premiere golf event is a major annual fundraiser for the Air Force Enlisted Village (AFEV), a 501c3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide a home for surviving spouses of retired enlisted Air Force members. The Bob Hope Memorial Charity Golf Classic is a four-person captain’s choice format that begins on Friday, May 16, at noon with play on The Oaks course. Golfers will play The Oaks course again on Saturday, May 17, starting at 8:30 a.m. The event concludes with the closing of the silent auction, awards, and a barbecue lunch. There will be prizes for winning teams in three flights, skill contests, and an opportunity for a hole-in-one prize sponsored by Step One Automotive Group. A kickoff party for golfers and sponsors will be held May 15 at Bob Hope Village.
