The Clayton County Board of Education today announces its intention to increase the 2025 property taxes it will levy this year by 0.26 percent over the rollback millage rate. The district will maintain its millage rate at 19.600 mills which will allow the district to support the approved Fiscal Year 2026 Budget adopted in June by the Clayton County Board of Education. A series of three public hearings on this tax increase will be held on Monday, August 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. and on Monday, August 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. The hearings will be held at the Clayton County Board of Education Cafe, 1098 Fifth Ave., Jonesboro, GA, 3023 Resources Current 2025 Tax Digest  5-Year History of Levy Notice of Property Tax Increase For more information, please see  the attached Advisory .

On Saturday, September 13, 2025, Ms. Jessie Goree, Clayton County Board of Education (CCBOE) member representing District 3, in partnership with the Next Step Education Foundation, the Steve and Marjorie Harvey Foundation and College Readiness 101, will host the 12th Annual College Fair in the gymnasium at Morrow High School, located at 4300 Steele Road in Ellenwood. The fair will be open 10:00 a.m to 12:30 p.m.  More than 50 colleges, universities, trade schools and college entrance vendors are expected to be in attendance. In excess of 1,000 students and family members, representing Clayton County, Henry County, Fulton County and others are expected to attend the 90-minute college fair.  To register, please go  HERE .
