Please join the Newnan-Coweta Chamber in celebrating the ribbon cutting/grand re-opening of Backpack Buddies of Georgia. They are a nonprofit in Coweta County that serves students with food insecurity in all schools in Coweta by providing bags of food on the weekend. Backpack Buddies serves students in all elementary, middle, and high schools as well as both charter schools, CEC, WDA, Westside School and Maggie Brown. They currently serve 1200 students weekly. Backpack Buddies has currently undergone renovations so that they can serve more students. Backpack Buddies want businesses and organizations to come see their space and learn more about what they do. Snacks and beverages will be served.

Please join the Newnan-Coweta Chamber in celebrating the ribbon cutting of the Newnan Coweta Humane Society. The Newnan-Coweta Humane Society (NCHS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of animals in our community. They kennel, foster, and adopt abandoned dogs and cats. Our vision is simple: a future where every adoptable pet has a safe, loving home—and where spaying and neutering is the norm, helping to end pet overpopulation in Coweta County. Our mission is to advocate for animals, support local families, and strengthen the bond between pets and their people. Through spay/neuter programs, fostering, adoption services, education, and outreach, we work every day to create lasting change. We also step in to help sick and injured animals who would otherwise face euthanasia. They are celebrating a major refurbishment/reconstruction of their facility and their 50th anniversary year - food and beverages will be provided.
