T he Bulloch County Board of Education will host its scheduled work session on Thursday, June 26, at 6:30 p.m., in the boardroom of the school district's central office, located at 150 Williams Road in Statesboro. The Board is expected to cast its final vote on the Fiscal Year 2026 Budget . The meeting is open to the public, and guests may enter Entrance A. Meetings include a time on the agenda for public participation. Guests who would like to speak are asked to sign their names on the form at the podium prior to the start of the meeting. Anyone wishing to watch the meeting live or later online may do so at  bullochschools.org/board  under the Meetings tab. The agenda and board packet are available at the website as well. Any agenda items that have supporting documents to view will have a paper clip icon to click to view the documents. Supporting documents may be linked to the agenda as they are finalized from 24 hours prior to just before the meeting. The agenda is not final until the board votes to amend or adopt the agenda at the beginning of the meeting.

The City of Statesboro and the Downtown Statesboro Development Authority will host the annual community-wide kick off to the fall sports season - the Downtown Pep Rally on Thursday, August 7, beginning at 5:30 p.m., on the Bulloch County Courthouse Square on East Main Street in Statesboro. Calling all fans! Wear your team's colors and be ready to cheer for your school's football and flag football teams, cheerleading squads, and marching bands. It's a great time to get ready for football Friday nights this fall. This is the schedule of team appearances:   5:30 -  SEB, guys and girls football, cheerleaders, and band. 6:30 -  Portal, football team, cheerleaders, and band.  7:00 - SHS, guys and girls football, cheerleaders and band.

National Labor Day Holiday (All Schools & Offices Closed)

All of Bulloch County Schools' schools and offices will be closed for the National Labor Day Holiday. September 2 will be a holiday for students as well so that the school district can host an in-service training and planning day for its faculty and staff.
