Cost is $10/hiker (ages 10+)Wonder why Panola Mountain is a restricted area? Come on a guided hike for a close look at our unique ecology and see how outcrop plants scrape out a living in this harsh environment. Wear sturdy hiking shoes and bring water.This is a moderately strenuous hike covering over 3 miles, with significant elevation changes and uneven terrain. Ages 10 and up. Groups of 10 or more must register for a private hike. Meet at Nature Center. Reservations are nonrefundable. Participants must give at least 24 hourâs notice if they need to reschedule. Transfer credits will only be applied to a similar program. In the case of severe weather or slippery conditions, the park may deem it necessary to cancel or reschedule the hike. Park staff will notify registered participants of any change of plans prior to the event.
