This traditional hands-on craft will feature a very special plant native to Panola Mountain, the Spoonleaf Yucca. Learn about the plant and create cordage bracelets out of the leaves. Pre-registration is required for this event as space is limited. This activity is designed for ages 10+. Meet at the Nature Center. Sustainable harvest of yucca leaves to demonstrate traditional methods of harvesting fibers and how to use them to make twine â or in our case â bracelets. Reservations are nonrefundable. Participants must give at least 24 hours notice if they need to reschedule. Transfer credits will only be applied to a similar program.
