Haumāna will extend their learning of how to feed a community by planting, maintaining, and harvesting kalo. Our hana will go towards feeding our kaiāulu (community) and feeding the 6th graders on their sail. Their work will also help them to reflect on the yearlong learning and support their Trimester 3 project. Komo (wear): MHPCS drifit, shorts/pants that can get dirty, covered shoes that will get muddy or wet, sun gear, sun block, hat Lawe (bring): extra clothes, uniform shirt, towel, ʻōmole wai (full), ʻai pono snacks, bag for wet clothes

Waʻa rotations (sailing and skills) with Kānehūnāmoku Voyaging Academy. Learning rotations are weather dependent and may change based on captains decision. Haumāna should wear MHPCS school shirt, swim wear, sun/rain gear, and wear slippers/crocs. A change of clothes, hat, and towel should also be packed. Students must bring a water bottle and home lunch.

Papa Mahina to Bishop Museum

Haumāna will explore Hawai'i's cultural and natural heritage at the Bishop Museum. Komo (wear): MHPCS shirt Lawe (bring) 'ōmole wai (water bottle) and ʻāina awakea (home lunch)

Papa 6 to KVA - Kualoa/Heeia

-Malama Honua Dri-fit with swim wear. -Footwear to get wet. Crocs or Tabis are highly recommended as students will be walking to the waʻa through the water. -Towel -Change of clothes -Water Bottle -Water resistant jacket in case of rain. -ai pono home lunch

Through our huakaʻi with Kauluakalana and Maunalua Heritage Center, we uncover ʻike kupuna, perspectives, and practices that empower us to ʻauamo this sacred kuleana to wai, ensuring that our pilina with this precious resource continues to thrive. Please wear long sleeves, long pants, and closed-toe shoes. Bring any type of sun protection (e.g., hat, sunglasses, sunscreen), and remember to bring a water bottle.  School lunch will be provided to those who ordered. All others must pack a home lunch
