Music Theater of Idaho presents Disney’s Frozen Nampa Civic Center March 26 – April 4  | 7:30 pm For the first time in forever, experience the musical phenomenon that has taken the world by storm! Based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature film, Disney’s Frozen includes all the film’s beloved songs by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, along with new music written exclusively for the stage. In the beautiful mountainous kingdom of Arendelle, Princesses Anna and Elsa grow up sheltered inside their castle, isolated from the world and increasingly distant from each other. When Elsa is crowned queen, the magical powers she’s desperately tried to conceal from her sister take control, and she flees into the mountains. As a ferocious winter descends on Arendelle, Anna sets off on an epic journey to find Elsa and bring her home – with the help of hardworking ice harvester Kristoff, his loyal reindeer Sven, and a happy-go-lucky snowman named Olaf. Meals on Wheels Metro Boise is hoping for 1,000 people to participate in this year’s March for Meals on March 28, making it the largest march event in the country once again.  There is no entry fee to participate or advance registration required.  Marchers simply sign in at the Kleiner Park amphitheater in Meridian between 10 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., and the short, one-third mile walk around the park begins at 10:30 a.m.  It is accommodating to everyone, including strollers, walkers, and wheelchairs.  Cookies will be served following the walk.  Horizon Credit Union will donate essentially the cost of a meal to Meals on Wheels Metro Boise for each marcher.  We will be giving away the annual “Spirit Award” for the most spirited, enthusiastic group (costumes, noise makers, etc.) determined by the crowd. The annual walk spotlights senior hunger and food insecurity, and how Meals on Wheels provides a proven solution.  One in six seniors in America, and over 60,000 seniors in Idaho, face hunger or food insecurity on a regular basis.  Meals on Wheels Metro Boise delivers and serves more than 2,000 hot, nutritious meals each weekday (up 300 meals a day over this time last year) to seniors throughout Ada County, Emmett, Middleton, Marsing, and McCall.  Metro also prepares the daily meals for the Caldwell Meals on Wheels program.  Meals on Wheels is more than a meal, it is also a daily safety check, socialization, and the food is critical for seniors to remain independent and living in their homes, and often with their pets.
