Be part of a powerful and timely production. Audition for the ICC Theatre Program’s Fall production of Stop Kiss, a full-length comedic drama written by American playwright Diana Son. The story follows Callie, a New York City radio traffic reporter, and Sara, a schoolteacher from the Midwest who moves to the city to teach third-grade students in the Bronx. Both women have boyfriends—but as their friendship deepens, they slowly discover they might be falling in love. Their tentative first kiss in public provokes a violent hate crime, changing their lives in ways they couldn’t have predicted. What begins as a connection between strangers becomes the center of a powerful, surprising journey. Production dates are October 8 – 12. Characters: Callie: A career-driven traffic reporter in New York City.Sara: A schoolteacher from Missouri who forms a romantic relationship with Callie.George: Callie’s friend who becomes a supportive presence after the attack on Sara.Peter: Sara’s ex-boyfriend who helps her recover.Detective Cole: The law enforcement officer involved in investigating the attack on Sara.Mrs. Winsley: A nurse who cares for Sara in the hospital.

The Commencement ceremony is an opportunity for you, your family, and your friends to celebrate your accomplishment of achieving this milestone in your education. The 2025 Commencement ceremony is at the Peoria Civic Center on Saturday, May 17, 2025. The event will be live-streamed at 10:00 a.m. on YouTube, Facebook, and Tassel. In addition to announcing the graduates, Dr. Sheila Quirk-Bailey, ICC President, will make live remarks, and our commencement keynote speaker, Doug Oberhelman, former CEO and Executive Chairman of Caterpillar, will offer inspirational words. Congrats to ICC Grads!Don’t forget to tag your photos with #ICCGRAD2025 on social media and utilize the fun resources in the ICC Graduation Toolkit. Graduates who registered for commencement may visit this webpage after the ceremony to download and share their personalized commencement slides. You can also order your announcements, class ring, or diploma frame. Cap and Gown PickupYou can purchase your pre-ordered cap and gown at the East Peoria Campus Bookstore the week of April 28 – May 2. Attending CommencementEach guest will be allowed to carry one (1) clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bag that does not exceed 12″x 6″ x 12″ or one (1) one-gallon clear plastic bag. Each guest will be allowed to carry one (1) small clutch that does not exceed 5″ x 8″. Diaper bags (with a child age three and under) and bags carrying medically necessary items are allowed after security completes a visual inspection inside of the bag.
