His responsibilities include advising and counseling business owners and entrepreneurs with ideation and business planning, business financials and funding, marketing and sales, operations and management, and growth and expansion strategies. His career and expertise in small business began with Bank of America where he became a top-ranked Small Business Consultant and financial advisor in the Chicagoland area for over 15 years. He is a recipient of the bank’s prestigious “Pinnacle Diamond Award” which is the highest-level of recognition for exceptional performance, recognizing top-performing employees and financial advisors with significant contributions to the company, clients, and communities. Parlaying to a career in Workforce Development and working for DuPage County in Business Services and Job Development, he created and nurtured strategic alliances and partnerships with local businesses and entrepreneurs, while promoting no-cost, state-funded, and vital workforce programs and resources for businesses located in and around DuPage. If we don't understand what is happening in the brain with dementia, it may be difficult to know what we can and cannot expect from our loved ones.  This presentation helps us to better understand what dementia does to the personhood, personality, and experiences of a person so we can interact with true dignity, kindness, and understanding rather than unrealistic expectations.  This is the bedrock of functioning in dementia care, the nuts and bolts of what is happening in the brain and how it works itself out in the day to day.

The Small Business Advocacy Council and Glen Ellyn Chamber of Commerce invite you to join our virtual meeting with State Representative Terra Costa Howard on Thursday, July 17th from 9:00-10:00am.   State Rep. Terra Costa Howard is a lawyer, a small business owner, a teacher, a wife, a mother, and a tireless advocate for children and people in need. As a member of the Illinois House since 2019, Costa Howard has been a strong voice for victims and survivors of trafficking. She has also worked hard to provide new protections for Illinois seniors.   Now in her fourth term in the General Assembly, Costa Howard represents the 42nd House District, which includes Lombard, Glen Ellyn, and parts of Wheaton, Downers Grove, Lisle, and Naperville. She serves as Chair of the House Human Services Committee and Vice Chair of the Adoption & Child Welfare Committee.   During this event, State Representative Terra Costa Howard will have the opportunity to address the local business community, provide updates on legislative progress in Springfield, and answer questions about issues that matter most to the Glen Ellyn chamber members. The Small Business Advocacy Council will serve as the moderator for the discussion.
