Gavin Central Preschool Screenings In order to qualify for a preschool program, your child must attend a Preschool Screening held by Gavin School District 37. If you are interested in bringing your child for screening, please contact Carol Bennett at 847-973-3280. During the screening process, the team reviews if there are any delays in speech, fine and gross motor, cognitive, and/or social-emotional skills along with completing an interview with the parents/guardians The preschool programs are held at Gavin Central Elementary School. All programs are 2 1/2 hours in length. Our morning session is from 8:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Our afternoon session is from 12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Programs are for students between the ages of 3 - 5. All programs are play- based programs where skills in all areas are enhanced and mastered through play. All programs utilize the Creative Curriculum Program which is based on the Illinois Early Learning Development Standards. We will be hosting our next screenings on Thursday, August 22. Please call Carol Bennett at 847-973-3280 if you are interested in signing up for a screening.
