The College Career Center will hold its annual Financial Aid Night at 7 p.m. on Monday, September 28th in the West Auditorium as well as live-streamed via Zoom ( d125-org.zoom.us/j/99298396029 ). This event will be recorded, and the slides and recording will be available on the College Career Center website within a week of the event.Post Secondary Counselors Ms. Sara Hanson and Mr. Dan Miller will partner with Ms. Maggie Bleeker, Assistant Director of Financial Aid at Northwestern University, to host a Financial Aid Program for families., for this presentation, which is meant primarily for families who have current juniors or seniors.Details about applying for college financial assistance through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) will be discussed, along with the types of financial aid available, and how eligibility for aid is determined. Families with seniors typically complete the 2027-28 FAFSA form in October.

Please join us for our First Generation to College in the U.S. program on Wednesday, Sept. 30! This information night will be held in-person and is geared toward students who are the first in their family to attend a four-year college or students whose parents have not been educated at the undergraduate level in the United States. While the content is especially helpful for first generation families, all students and families are welcome to attend. Families can select to visit presentations based on their personal needs. These 45-minute sessions are an introduction to topics that will be explained in more detail during future College Career Center events. Guided by her biology teacher, Mr. Christopher, and befriended by head cheerleader, Jenny, Emily must learn to fit in with her classmates while yearning to stay out of the spotlight. Caught up in a dangerous stunt at a basketball game, Emily reveals her true powers in a stunning display of heroism. Thus, Spring Farm's own darling superhero, "The Sparrow," is born. Can this strange girl with even stranger powers be the hero that her town is longing for, or will her dark secret destroy them all? The Sparrow taps into the fundamental aching of adolescence-fearing that we're somehow different while hoping that we're somehow special. Production Advisory: Patriot Theatre Company rates The Sparrow PG-13 for mature themes, including grief, bullying, a student-teacher boundary violation, and an instance of gun violence.
