This event is targeted for Seniors & their Parents/Guardians. Naperville Central and Naperville North Counseling Departments invite seniors and their families to attend a Financial Aid Workshop to assist families in completing the FAFSA or Alternative Application for Illinois Financial Aid. ISAC representatives will be available to answer questions at this event. We will NOT be going line by line to complete the FAFSA together at this workshop. Everyone will work at their own pace. Families are welcome to attend either workshop for assistance. Choose the date and time that works best for your schedule.Wednesday, October 29 th (6:30pm-8:00pm) at Naperville Central High School in the Learning Commons (Enter through Door 1)Tuesday, November 4 th (5:00pm-7:00pm) at Naperville North High School in the Learning Commons (Enter through the North Main Entrance) Bringing a Chromebook or personal device is encouraged, but we will have some computers available for use. FSA accounts must be created and confirmed in order to attend this workshop. Please note that confirmation can take up to a week after account creation. We encourage you to bring the following documentation to the workshop: Student and parent FSA IDs2024 Tax returnsRecords of child support receivedCurrent balances of cash, savings, and checking accountsNet worth of investments, businesses, and farms As a reminder, Public Act 101-180 requires all public high schools in the state of Illinois to complete the FAFSA, or, as eligible, the Alternative Application for Illinois Financial Aid, as a prerequisite to receiving a high school diploma. A waiver provision allows a parent, guardian, or the student (if 18 years of age) to opt out for any reason.
