Join us for work in the SD Garden on the grounds of the Theosophical Society in Wheaton, IL. We'll be tending to our quarter acre garden space by working communally using sustainable gardening practices. No experience needed.  We will find tasks that are appropriate for your energy and skill level.  Please dress appropriately for the weather and for working, which means closed-toe shoes and clothing that can protect you from any light abrasions you may get from working with plants and gardening materials.   Consider the workday cancelled if it is raining, snowing, extreme temperatures (too cold or hot), or very windy.   Contact lindsayz@sustaindupage.com if you have questions.  We meet at the firepit in the Sustain DuPage Garden.

This food pantry drive will benefit the Glen House Food Pantry in Glen Ellyn.   We will accept cans, boxes or containers of the following items: - Canned goods: fruits, veggies, soups - especially low-salt or no sugar added - High Protein: peanut butter, tuna, beans, and canned chicken, chili, or stew - Whole Grains: whole wheat pasta, brown rice, cereal - Household: disposable diapers, bar soap, toothpaste, shampoo, toilet paper, laundry detergent No fresh or refrigerated items at this drive please.   The garden team will be on site that day working in the garden and tours will be available, along with a Member Market and the opportunity to peruse our amazing seed cache.  Sounds like the morning will have something to offer for everyone!
