This group will meet from 5:30-6:30 on the first Monday monthly.The first half of each meeting, members will have time to share ideas about shaping the library and give feedback about programs they'd like to see. The second half, members will have a chance to share what they've been reading/watching/listening to! Come chat with friends and eat snacks in a low-key environment where it's always okay to get off topic!Members can earn a service hour by writing a short review for a book at the end of each meeting. Are you interested in volunteering monthly at our Book Buddies program? Volunteers must register for a training session before they will be allowed to participate in this program!Book Buddies is a recurring program in which high school students will be paired with students grades K-5 to help develop literacy skills in young readers! In this training session, we will cover the basics of what you will do as a Book Buddies mentor, practice some scenarios, and answer any questions you have prior to volunteering. If you cannot make it to this training session, look for another training session, as these will be held quarterly. It is important that volunteers are available for Book Buddies monthly on the 3rd Monday from 4:30-5:15pm. Open to high school students grades 9-12. Registration is required.
