Please join local eco-therapist, Mary Ridley, for a discussion on the powerful connection between humans and nature. Mary will take you on a fascinating journey as she teaches you how to harness elements of our natural environment to regulate and manage various mental health conditions.  Ecotherapy, a well-researched model, emphasizes the healing capabilities of nature.  In this talk, Mary will explore the why behind our detachment from nature while providing valuable insight on how we can reestablish this vital connection.  This presentation will focus on explaining the role nature plays in mental health, how to reconnect with nature and using nature as a means of healing.Appropriate for ages 15+.

Level Up will meet on the 2nd Wednesday each month.Come ready to play games like Mario Kart, Super Mario Wonder, Nintendo Switch Sports, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and others on the library's Nintendo Switch. Attendees will decide what games we play. "Stand on a Soapbox" is a blend of a Powerpoint Party and a debate club - you can choose to bring a Powerpoint to share with the group about any topic (keep things appropriate, please), but we'll also do some on-the-spot, silly debates to get your creative juices flowing! If you LOVE to yap, this is the program for you!If you'd like to present a Powerpoint, please email it to [email protected] in advance to be approved.
