Led by local experts, each class focuses on essential skills—like plumbing (August 19th), HVAC (August 21st), Anchors/Wall Patching (August 26th), and Electrical (August 28th)—equipping you with the knowledge and practical tips you need to handle everyday repairs safely and effectively. Whether you're learning how to fix a leaky faucet or understand your thermostat, you'll walk away feeling empowered to take care of your space—and save money by skipping the contractor for the small stuff. The Complete Series is $100 and comes with a free tool bag full of essential tools. August 19th - Plumbing Basics: Understand your home's water supply and drainage system, identify problems and assess the DIY vs. Professional question. Topics will include: common toilet problems and how to fix them, ways to prevent pipes from freezing in winter, how to unclog a kitchen sink, caring for your water heater, and repairing a dripping faucet-when to repair or replace. August 21st - HVAC Basics: Life expectancy, filters, clean AC coils, and clean condensate drain. Questions to ask when choosing HVAC service providers. August 26th- Anchors/Wall Patching: This class will walk you through the basic must-have tools for homeowners, from hand tools to power tools and other essentials, to keep a smooth-running home. Knowing how to patch and repair drywall is often a top concern when preparing for a move. Drywall is vulnerable to cracks, dents and holes, but you can easily repair it with drywall joint compound and a little sanding and painting. This guide teaches you how to do a drywall repair for both dents and small holes in the wall. From hanging heavy mirrors to mounting TV's to installing shelves and anchoring furniture, there are plenty of home projects that require you to locate wall stud.
