Enjoy a book, conversation, & brewed beverages (Coffee, tea, etc.)! This summer’s books will be Heart in the Right Place by Carolyn Jourdan & The Summer that Melted Everything by Tiffany McDaniel. Ask at the front desk to pick up a copy of the book.

Salt Painting (Ages 5-12, Registration Required)

Use glue to draw your image and watch the dye color change and spread through the salt. AGES 5-12. REGISTRATION REQUIRED.

Tie Dye Teddy Bear (Ages 5-12, Registration Required)

Stuff and tie-dye a teddy bear to take home. AGES 3-12. REGISTRATION REQUIRED.

Game Time

Play tabletop games with other patrons! We will have a new game called Hues & Cues for patrons to try. ADULTS & TEENS.

Conversational Spanish

This class concentrates on conversational techniques & basic word phrases. Materials will be furnished and learning will be made easy & fun! REGISTRATION REQUIRED, AGES 18+.

Carl Moore: Colonial Coins

Learn a little about colonial coins with a show & tell component by Carl Moore who began collecting coins in his retirement. There will be a coin drawing at the end of the program for attendees. GEARED TOWARDS ADULTS & TEENS.

Animated Film Series: The Secret of Kells

Produced by an Irish-French-Belgian co-production, led by the studio Cartoon Saloon. The Secret of Kells is a 2009 animated fantasy drama about the making of the Book of Kells, an illuminated manuscript from the 9th century. GEARED TOWARDS AGES 1-99.

A shifting pastel color palette bursts and drips across the screen. Wonderful storytelling & brilliant comic timing draw up influences as varied as Buster Keaton, Bugs Bunny and the outlaw romanticism of Bonnie and Clyde. RATED PG.

Garden Gab

Join other gardeners to discuss plants. In June we will paint bricks to use as decoration around the garden. In July we will discuss how to use plants to dye. AGES 18+. WHILE SUPPLIES LAST.
