Co-Lab O fearless teen quester, join on a journey of wood, paint, fabric, and more!  Each week embark upon a new journey into the wild and magical realm of crafting.  This week we venture toward the creation of a leveled-up embroidered and embellished wardrobe!  While not necessary, teens are encouraged to bring their own garment to embellish! Will you take up the brush and scissors and join us? For teens ages 12 - 18 and in grades 7 - 12.  No registration required, but supplies may be limited and therefore offered on a first come, first served basis.  Drop-in style, so teens are free to come and go as they like! Players and patrons connect to NirvanaOnline servers to access a massive shared-world experience that champions STEM-based learning and challenges players to expand their critical thinking skills with team-based content objectives. Kid Librarian at CFPL is where one lucky kid will be drawn every month and picked to be a librarian for an afternoon! They will get to make their very own book display of their own interests that will be up in the Youth department for a month. Join us as we continue our year long collaboration with the Hearst Center encouraging creative engagement with our outdoor spaces! Learn more about Nature Quest and create your own journal to use throughout the year. CFPL Co-Lab Adults 18+ Registration required Participants will be guided on a personal Nature Quest by selecting from a series of monthly workshops and open studio classes (locations will be shared between the Hearst and the Library) hosted by artists and field experts throughout the seasons. Open studio sessions will encourage participants to create and reflect in personal journals using a variety of prompts from How To Be An Explorer of the World by Keri Smith (each participant will receive a free copy while supplies last) with social time geared towards cultivating a sense of community. Materials will be provided. As the program ends upon one year of seasonal change, all participants will be invited to show their work at the Hearst and Cedar Falls Library. Made possible by the Cedar Falls Community Foundation: Kathryn Ray Fund for use by the Library.
