(One appointment at a time please) BEFORE YOU ARRIVE Please arrive with a clear goal of what you would like to learn.  Please arrive with all the necessary passwords needed to access your device or accounts.  Be sure to bring in any device you need help with. If necessary, we can provide computers with Windows 10 or 11, laptops and an iPad for demonstration.  We are unable to troubleshoot or fix malfunctioning devices, take apart or replace physical parts on a device, or participate in credit card transactions.  Thank you. Wise (Wellness Initiative for Senior Education) Program at the Library

The WISE program is designed to help older adults celebrate healthy aging, make healthy lifestyle choices, and avoid substance misuse. Consisting of six sessions, participants recognize the myths & facts of aging, understand the biological changes with aging, recognize ......More

The WISE program is designed to help older adults celebrate healthy aging, make healthy lifestyle choices, and avoid substance misuse. Consisting of six sessions, participants recognize the myths & facts of aging, understand the biological changes with aging, recognize assumptions people make about various cultural groups and the implication of these assumptions, expand knowledge on managing medications, expand knowledge of the effects of substance use, and heighten awareness of personal âstress triggersâ and their own personal values. These programs are free, and will be held in the libraryâs meeting room.  Registration is recommended so we can prepare enough materials for everyone. Grab a friend and register for this event.  Teams of 2-4 players will have 60 minutes to complete at 500 piece puzzleâŚor come really close.  The fastest team or the team with the fewest remaining pieces will receive a basket full of goodies as a prize.  All teams must register for this event by filling out the form below, or by calling the library at 515-795-3846, or by emailing Angie at [email protected]    The first six registered teams will be able to participate so be sure to sign up soon.   Some event details: This event is for anyone ages 10 and up.  If you sign up and canât attend please cancel your registration by contacting Angie at the email listed above.  Each team receives the same 500 piece puzzle.  The goal is to be the team that finishes the puzzle in the shortest amount of time.  If no team has completed their puzzle once time is up, the winning team will be the one with the fewest remaining loose pieces.  In the event of a tie, teams will be given 5 more minutes to work on the puzzle.  Good luck.
