Join us as we celebrate Opportunities Unlimited and the expansion of its residential services with the opening of two additional homes through the Medicaid program called Home and Community Based Services (HCBS). This expansion will allow OU to better meet the needs of our community by serving eight additional individuals through this program.​ Opportunities Unlimited provides residential and comprehensive rehabilitation therapy to individuals impacted by brain injuries and other special needs. In addition to the residential services provided, OU offers a number of community-based services to individuals with special needs that focus on maintaining and improving independence at home and in the community.

The Siouxland/Washington Conference, held every spring since 1954, offers a unique opportunity to join community leaders from the tri-state area in traveling to Washington, DC, to present regional priorities to our Congressional delegation. Conference attendees engage in discussions with all six Senators representing Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota, as well as the eight Representatives from these states. The two-day schedule is packed with meetings on Capitol Hill, including sessions with key department officials and representatives focused on our priority issues. This tradition-rich event also features a steak reception on the first evening, allowing participants to mingle informally with the tri-state Congressional delegation.
