Nearly 6,000 Kansas children and teens need foster families to open their hearts and homes. It only takes ONE caring adult to change a child’s life. How about you? One of the first and most important steps to become a licensed foster or adoptive parent is to complete MAPP Foundations training (Model Approach to Partnerships in Parenting). This class prepares you to care for a child who has experienced trauma and helps you build many other skills in your journey to become a foster or adoptive parent. MAPP also aids you in determining if fostering or adopting is right for you. KVC Kansas offers this course at no cost to you. Classes will be held virtually, once a week on Mondays from 6-9pm. Class starts 11/17/2025 and ends 01/26/2026. Class size is limited, so reach out to us today! Training can fill quickly, so please reach out soon if you’re interested.
