Mon 12/15 - "Jingle Bell Rock" - Rock your BA spirit wear! Our fourth annual 12 Days of Spirit will run Thursday, December 4 th  through the start of winter break! Please know that participation is completely voluntary, and there is no expectation for students to dress up every day, or spend money on special clothing/accessories for these days. This tradition is simply meant to promote holiday spirit and community, and we encourage participation in a way that feels comfortable for each student and family.

One of our social emotional goals this year is to reduce the number of suspensions due to acts of physical aggression (acting out in an unsafe manner due to emotion).  Each quarter of the school year students meeting the criteria will participate in a 30 minute "block party" to celebrate success toward our goal.  Those not meeting the criteria will participate in social emotional and skill regulation practice. Students who have zero referrals as a result of aggression will attend the quarter 2 block party on Friday, December 19.  According to our behavior response rubric , an act of aggression includes: * intentionally bumping, kicking, pushing, punching, hitting, spitting, choking, pulling hair, throwing/tipping/shoving items/material etc as a result of emotion * written or verbal threats to cause bodily harm
