Weekly Art Workshops for Kids

Throughout Summer Reading, kids will have the chance to stretch their artistic creativity with these weekly workshops.

Sidewalk Chalk

We’ll head outside to create chalk masterpieces.  Compete in one of our challenges like self portraits, speed drawing, or spray chalk, & more!

Anyone up to 18 years old can come to the library each week on Monday-Thursday for sandwich, snacks and a drink.

Adult Crafting: Windchimes

Decorate your own wooden windchime to give a little beauty and sound to your yard. No registration is required.

Kite Flying

We’ll be making our own kites, and then we’ll take to the outdoors and see how high we can fly them.  If you’d rather, you can also bring your own favorite kite to fly instead.

The Farmers Market is back and open in our library parking lot every Thursday evening! Come check out all of the great locally produced items for sale!

Storytime

Join us for Friday morning fun with Storytime!  Geared towards children up to 5 years old.

Open Puzzle Time

Stop in on Friday afternoons for the relaxing activity of puzzles. We’ll have one laid out each week, and it’s open for anyone to work on.

Library Closed

Drawstring Bag Tie-Dye

Part of our Wednesday Art Workshops for kids this summer: Registration is required for this one.  Call 913-845-3281 to sign up. We’ll give you a blank white canvas bag and then you’ll dye it up in your own style.

Intro to Fly Fishing

Relax with a little early morning coloring! We’ll supply the coloring pages (or bring your own favorites) plus colored pens and pencils.
