American Legion Post #113 invites you to join them on July 19, 2025 for the BE THE ONE WALK. This event aims to build awareness and support for the prevention of Veteran suicide Did you know that 22 Veterans commit suicide each day? Help to fight this heartbreaking statistic by participating in the walk while honoring our heroes. Walkers will gather at 7:45am at Southeast Christian Church in Elizabethtown and begin walking at 8:00am. The walk will cover 2.2 miles. We are hosting a benefit 5K and Car Show in support of Jimmy Hardesty. Jimmy was diagnosed with Stage Four Metastatic Lung Cancer in October of last year. After nine long beautiful years in remission, Jimmy’s cancer has come back with a vengeance and has metastasized to the brain, spine (T-12) and lymph nodes. He is in need of your support. Come out and join us on August 2 at John Hardin High School for a day of family fun to support Jimmy.
