Tickets on Sale! buy now Saturday, May 16 from 9 – 11 a.m.$60 non-member/ $40 members  — price includes all-day admission to the Zoo! Calling all budding photographers!Interested in getting your start in wildlife photography? The Louisville Zoo and Murphy’s Camera are here to help! Murphy’s Camera’s Education Coordinator Ayrica Bishop will introduce you to camera basics, the exposure triangle, composition, and how to make the most of available light. A Zoo staffer will share tips on animal behaviors to watch for and the best moments to gather dynamic action shots throughout the Zoo. Designed for teens and adults with little to no wildlife photography experience, this hands-on session goes beyond the classroom and into the Zoo. In May, participants will begin in the MetaZoo with the smaller animals to practice techniques like photographing through glass, then head into the Africa Zone to photograph giraffes (with no visual barriers) colobus monkeys (to practice photographing through mesh) and gorillas (to practice photographing through glass). Following this itinerary, participants are free to roam the Zoo on their own to snap those special moments. Stay tuned here for what is planned for September. buy now

BUY NOW!Gate opens at 6 p.m. |  Class begins at 6:30 p.m. Admire and imitate the graceful balance of our red pandas as you stretch and unwind in front of this forested exhibit space. You may find Sundara relaxing nearby on his favorite perch. Join us for physical fun in the wild! We’re partnering with Flex Appeal to continue special Wild Workouts at your Zoo this year. We will be offering five unique outdoor classes after the Zoo closes, so you can stretch in some of your favorite exhibit spaces. For beginners and seasoned practitioners alike, these classes are designed to help you increase flexibility, strengthen muscles, and improve overall health and recovery. Closed-toed shoes are strongly encouraged. Guests are also encouraged to bring a refillable water bottle that can be used at the bottle refill stations around the Zoo. Classes are $25 each, plus a processing fee, and are available online only. All fitness levels and abilities are welcome. Tickets must be purchased online prior to the workout in order to attend.
