Every week, NUNU opens its doors for "Stop, Shop & Stroll" Meet the Makers & Cultural Gems: Browse Original Art & Crafts: NUNU provides a platform for local artists and craftspeople to showcase their work. From paintings and sculptures to jewelry and handmade goods, there's something for everyone's taste and budget. Meet the Creative Minds Behind the Art: Each day features a dedicated meet-and-greet with the artists and some of NUNU's Cultural Ambassadors. These local experts are passionate about sharing their knowledge and stories. Here's who you can meet: Wednesdays: Ralph Schexnaydre Jr Thursdays: Faye Abshire, Josy Bennie-Perkins & Elise Fontenot-Dupuis Fridays: Janelle Hebert and Denise Verret Saturdays: 1st: Larry and Loretta Bourque & Rebecca Simon 2nd: Kay Jeansonne & George Marks 3rd: Carole Lancon Last: Ralph Schexnaydre Jr Sundays: 1st: Rebecca Simon and Cultural Ambassador, Chad Lacoumb and learn more about his new burgeoning project, the`Deux Bayous S.T.E.A.M. Park 2nd: George Marks with Cultural Ambassador Charles Chaisson and learn more about his new burgeoning project, Levity 3rd: Peg Ramier and Cultural Ambassadors from the Canopy Spirits Collective including Kathleen Whitehurst, Gerard Perkins, Brittnay Menard, Rena Edery, and more. Stop in and learn more about bamboo and sustainability. Last: Michelle Fontenot and Josy Bennie-Perkins and Cultural Ambassadors of the social club, "Les Bienvenunus" including George and Erilda Arnaud, Girley Oliver, Rita "Rheeta" Marks, and more.
