Learn how the Internet works, how to connect to the Internet, and how to use a web browser and search the Internet safely. This class is free and open to the public. Seating space is limited to adults. Registration is required. The library welcomes people of all abilities to programs. The New Neighbor Project is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization that provides support to our immigrant neighbors through donation based ESL, Citizenship and HISET classes as well as Citizenship application assistance and scholarship opportunities to help provide a holistic pathway to citizenship for people in our community. Join us every Saturday morning from 9:00 am to 10:30 am for our Beginner ESL Class. Over the course of 10 weeks, you'll delve into the fundamentals of English communication, from listening and speaking to reading and writing. FamilySearch is the largest non-profit genealogy database, with over 20.5 billion records available for free. Ancestry can be accessed inside any of the twelve libraries, while FamilySearch is free anywhere, but the library does have affiliate access inside the twelve branches, meaning access to more original records. This class will demonstrate how to begin your journey into using both online databases so that you can begin digging up your own story. This class is free and open to the public.
