Join us for Magic the Gathering in the Activity Room. Bring your own deck or use one of our learning decks. Everyone is welcome, however players must be fluent readers. Players under the age of 10 must have a caregiver who is at least 14 years old on the Library premises. Join us for every session or just one – it’s up to you! We will have two instructors to help get games started and assist with the rules of the game. No registration is required. Check the Library website or Facebook page if there is inclement weather.

We had so much fun in October that we’re bringing back Drama 101 for a bigger, sillier sequel! Teens in grades 7-12  are invited to the library on Wednesday, January 14th, a BPS early release day, for Drama 101: The Sequel!, a teen program for drama and theater enthusiasts and those looking to try their hand at acting. From 2:00-3:00PM, the library’s Teen Services Coordinator (a former theater kid herself) will lead teens and tweens in various theater games in the library’s Activity Room. Join the Clapp Memorial Library on Wednesday, January 14 at 7pm for a piano concert at the Belchertown United Church of Christ. Jazz pianist Stephen Page returns to perform on the Library’s 1877 Steinway grand piano. Stephen Page Performs Broadway will feature many musical theater favorites. Stephen Page has played throughout the eastern seaboard with a variety of musical combinations from solo work to big bands. He teaches at Amherst College and Deerfield Academy as well as in his private studio. Page continues to distill his life’s work into original compositions.
