This is a fun, interactive programs for kids under age 3 and their caregivers, live and in person! Music ignites all areas of child development and skills for school readiness, including intellectual, social-emotional behavior, and language in overall literacy. It helps the body and mind work together. Music also helps with fine motor skills. Children who are exposed to music during early development are helped to learn the sounds and meanings of words. Please register for this event in advance. It will take place in the large meeting room at the back of the brick Town Hall building here at 7A Spofford Road. Did you know the broadband services you use every day were pioneered by a Boxford resident?  Dr. Yassini is widely known as the "Father of the Cable Modem".  In his new book, The Accidental Network", Dr. Yassini tells the story of his invention of the cable modem, and how he overcame technical challenges, investment community naysayers and various business obstacles, to create the cable modem technology that has changed the way people manage their daily lives.  In 2024, Dr. Yassini was inducted into the Syndeo Institute's Cable Hall of Fame.  That same year, he was selected to receive an Emmy Award for Technology and Engineering from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. https://boxfordlibrary.assabetinteractive.com/calendar/author-visit-with-dr-yassini-fard-ph-d/
