Explore your creative side and experiment without fear of making a mistake! Join this workshop with Lidia Mikhaylova and enjoy a relaxing adventure into the world of freedom and creativity, and create your own masterpiece. This isn't a workshop on how to paint, but is an observation on how the paint lives and reacts on the fabric. When directing the paint wherever your imagination wants it to go, you will tap into your creativity and grow your unique creative voice! This workshop will be between 2.5 – 3 hours, so please bring refreshments if needed. All other necessary materials will be provided. Registration required, space is limited.For adults and teens 16 and up.  Lidia is an abstract artist inspired by the simple beauties of everyday life. She is a highly creative artist and art facilitator with more than seven years of professional experience delivering visual art classes. Lidia passionately believes that art is always about the process, not about the result, and that art is always therapy. Lidia’s work has been featured in international art festivals, Art Hole Magazine, A5 Magazine, and art galleries from Brooklyn, NY to Laguna Beach, CA. Join us for the second installment of our poetry reading series with local poet Barbara Thurston. Barbara, known as BG Thruston lives on a sheep farm in Warwick, Massachusetts. After a career in computers and finance, she received her MFA in Poetry from Vermont College in 2002. She taught poetry courses at Lasell Village for Vermont College and has continued to conduct poetry workshops today. Her first book, Saving the Lamb, was a Massachusetts Book Award's highly recommended reading choice. And her newest book, The Many Lives of Cathouse Farm/Tales of a Rural Brothel, is a forthcoming 2025 release and is the culmination of a decade of historical research about her 1770’s farmhouse. Join us for the second installment of this poetry series as we appreciate the poetry in our local community and celebrate our collective creative spirit. This program is supported in part by a grant from the Boylston Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
