Once Upon a Baby is a 30-minute interactive story time experience for our youngest library users and their caregiver. Join us for stories, songs, rhymes, and bounces that are developmentally appropriate for children from ages 0-2. This Lapsit program is just for you and the baby! Enjoy time together with other parents, caregivers and babies to learn, play and develop language, early literacy, and motor skills. Are you interested in exploring poetry writing or developing your craft further? The Gleason Library will host a 4-week poetry writing workshop for adults this March, Thursday mornings on Zoom beginning March 5th. Attendees will share their work and give and receive constructive feedback. Participants are expected to commit to all 4 weeks, but do not have to submit a poem for every week. All skill levels welcome. Facilitated by Mary Zoll, who has published a few poems and read a multitude of poems. The Friends of the Gleason Library (FoGPL) will be sponsoring a cutting swap at the Garden Club's Spring on the Wing event. The only “rules” are: no more than 6 cuttings from a single plant type per household and all cuttings must be labelled, have started roots, and be in pots. More details will be forthcoming but start now so little plants will have roots! The FoGPL table will also include a selection of gardening and gardening-related cookbooks FREE to anyone who wants them.
