Staff from the Career Technical Institute at Bay Path will present an information session about their program.  Everyone is welcome to attend, no registration is necessary. Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School received $893,480 as part of a grant through the Workforce Skills Cabinet to provide training and placement to prepare unemployed or underemployed individuals for positions in Auto Collision, Building and General Maintenance Technician, Culinary Arts, Manufacturing, Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), and Sheet Metal. Grant employer partners include Masonic Health System/The Overlook, ckSmith Superior, C&C Temp Control, Inc., Kinefac Corporation, Upper Blackstone Clean Water, Dexter, MassDOT, Sheet Metal Workers Local #63, BAPS, The Arc, Primetals, HVAC/R Service Contractors, Table 3 Restaurant Group, Fuller Collision Center, Long Subaru, Harr Motor Group, UMass, Flexcon, Grant funds will cover the full cost for students including classroom time, textbooks, and certifications. The grant also allows Bay Path to offer support services such as career readiness lessons and post-employment follow-ups. Adults interested in pursuing a career in Auto Collision, Automotive Technology, Building & General Maintenance Technician, Culinary Arts, Electrical, Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Manufacturing and Sheet Metal must be willing to enroll and commit to 200 hours of training at Bay Path and be willing to obtain training to qualify them for industry-recognized credentials essential to work in the field of their choice. Worcester County participants must be 18 years old or older, unemployed, or underemployed (annual income is less than $51,600 gross or $24.80/hour). Most recent high school graduates qualify as under-employed. Applications for 2026-2027 will open in late May / early June of 2026! This focus invites kids to recognize the ability to act and behave mindfully with compassion, to be brave, to know happiness, and to find inner peace and calm. While yoga helps build strength and flexibility, it also helps develop techniques for handling stress. Dress comfortably, and bring water and a mat if you have one. For ages 5 -11.
