The story of the South Chatham Library is an interesting one, spanning 150 years as of 2024. It tells the history of not only the library but that of many of the well known Chatham names of the past. It gives us a sense of life through the years in a small seaside village where thelibrary was often the heartbeat of the village. Conversations took place, neighbors visited and ideas were exchanged, be they books or community enrichment. The South Chatham library is unique in its size and having had only 12 librarians in its history. Their stories are as intriguing as those of the library itself. Presented by Barbara Semple. Join us for a fun, high energy music program for children and their grownups with musician Evan Haller of Music at the Blissful!Evan's music has been described as "the sound of Mr. Rogers sharing a burrito with Koo Koo Kanga Roo." The aim of Music at the Blissful is to create music and experiences where children and families can grow and learn and become the best versions of themselves. He brings together communities to help foster a deeper sense of belonging and elevate everyone's mood, education, and connection.Registration is not required.This program is funded in part by a grant from the Chatham Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
