Throughout the summer of 1776, the people of Concord continued to support the evolving American war effort. Citizens continued to manufacture military supplies to send off to the Continental Army. Many former Minutemen again answered the call to arms, and embarked on a 200-mile journey to defend Fort Ticonderoga against a British invasion. Loved ones provided material and moral support to those serving at the front.
