Join YFCP and the Pearle L. Crawford Library for a FREE 4 – week Tinkering Playgroup series. Children, ages 3 – 6, with a parent/caregiver, will be introduced to hands-on activities to practice and develop foundation STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) skills including problem solving, fine motor, and working together through tinkering activities designed by the Boston Children’s Museum.  There will be family sheets to extend playgroup activities at home. Funding for this program is designated for families residing in the towns of Dudley, Charlton, Oxford, Southbridge, and Webster. A minimum of 6 children living in these towns is required to hold this program. Families outside this service area may register and will be accommodated if space allows. Registration is required. Please register for each class separately. Please fill out a registration for your child(ren) who is between the ages of 3-6 only. Siblings outside of this age range are welcome to attend but do not need to be registered. Adults must be able to supervise and assist the enrolled child(ren) during class time. This program will explore the music of Paul McCartney as he developed his songwriting through the 1960s with the Beatles and beyond. From the influences of his father, a jazz musician in the 1920s/30s, his incorporation of those sounds of ballroom and dance-hall big bands in his music, to his successes as a pop and rock performer in Wings and as a solo musician. The listener will relive a wide spectrum of musical styles covered over Sir Paul’s 65-year career. Performer Dan Kiouac presents this event with a digital piano and vocal accompaniment. About Jonahthan Krantz Kranz leads mushroom walks and talks for libraries, land trusts, clubs, and other interest groups in southern New England. In addition to being a MA Audubon Certified Field Naturalist, Kranz currently serves as vice president of the oldest mushroom club in North America, the Boston Mycological Club, and is a board member of the Pioneer Valley Mycological Association.
