The typical teen spends 7-9 hours looking at screens each day, drawn in by addictive algorithms, influencers, and more.   Laura Gardner, Teacher Librarian at Dartmouth Middle School, will share research on how this impacts kid/teen brains and health, and smart tech usage strategies for our children and ourselves.  Bio: Laura Gardner, a National Board Certified Teacher in Library Media, is Teacher Librarian at Dartmouth Middle School in Dartmouth, Massachusetts where she has worked for over 15 years. Laura was awarded the School Library Journal (SLJ) School Librarian of the Year Co-finalist Award in 2016 and has served on national book award committees such as the Newbery.
