Registered Nurse Jill Fallon will be running a drop in blood pressure clinic the first Tuesday of the month from 10:30am to 11:30am here at the library. This is an opportunity to have your blood pressure taken, and to ask health and wellness questions. This program is brought to you in cooperation with the Harwich Council on Aging. No appointents are necessary but there may be some waiting on busy days so it is a good thing we have lots of reading material! Library staff at the main desk can direct to the location within the library.

Kim Moberg’s musical suite The Seven Fires Prophecy Suite for Humanity tells the ancient, yet relevant, Anishinaabe legend of "The Seven Fires Prophecy" which has been orally passed down from generation to generation. It tells the story of humanity with the lesson that in order to survive we must learn to live together with acceptance and respect for people of all colors and cultures in addition to respect for our environment. Kim will present a three-part concert: a brief talk about US and Canadian Indigenous boarding school history; an eight-minute video by Indigenous artist Erin Stagg, whose painting was used for Kim’s album cover, explaining her thought process behind her painting; and a live presentation of the suite by Kim and fiddler Heather Swanson.Funding for this concert provided by the Harwich Cultural Council.
