An Ipswich Cultural Council grant (with support from the Friends of the Ipswich Public Library) is funding the Pop-Up Art School   Participants age 8 to 12 at the 2:30 program.   Children's Librarian Laurie Collins and Young Adult Librarian Viktoria Paget will work together with the guest artist. The presenter will conduct hands-on art lessons in felting for 1.5 hours per group. Pop-Up Art includes the materials. Students will leave with a finished project in hand. The presenter will bring an array of finished needle felting projects so that participants can see the kind of projects that can be made in that medium. The class is supplemented with a slideshow of the projector a video demonstration. The projects are charming and allow the participants to work in a really clever and fun medium. This 2:30-4pm time slot is for children ages 8-12. Registration is required. If you are looking for the 4:30pm class for teens aged 13-18 (or 7th-12th grade), please follow this link. This program will be run by our friends from Pop Up Art School, thanks to an Ipswich Cultural Council grant. We will be making adorable felted carnivorous plants. Please note that this event will end at 6pm after the library has closed so please plan to leave/pick up right at 6. This 4:30pm-6pm time slot is for teens aged 13-18 (or 7th-12th grade).
