Lenox Library is excited to offer a low key and judgement-free group for all families. Join us for songs and bounces followed by play and chatting. Free baby weight checks available. Babies up to 15 months (actual or developmentally) and older siblings are welcome. The first Wednesday of the month will feature a craft for you to keep! April Pitroff Varellas, IBCLC, PMH-C from Berkshire Nursing Families will join us every third Wednesday of the month to answer your baby feeding questions. Group Leaders: Sara Jarvie is an early childhood development specialist. Stephanie Storie is a Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula. We are thrilled to continue our popular Tech Help program with volunteer Jeff Doughty. Jeff will meet one-on-one with patrons who need technology assistance, including: Smart phone and computer basicsEmail and messagingZoom and FaceTimeSocial media, including Facebook and InstagramConducting Internet searchesDownloading and saving informationUsing library resources, including Libby and KanopyPlease call the Library at 413-637-0197 to reserve a ½ hour appointment. Please bring any necessary devices, passwords, and charging cables. This service is free and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Jeff Doughty had a long career as a software engineer, most recently with Apple and Nvidia. Jeff is now retired and resides in Lenox with his wife Carol and two Chihuahuas. He has a B.S. from Virginia Tech and a M.S. from Stanford University, both in Computer Science. Jeff has returned to college at BCC to study art and music history.

Bryan, tell another. Local History Librarian Amy Lafave will present âAn Accident of Border,â using published works on the cottages, newspaper articles, and other material to give historical context to this challenging question. An accompanying Welles Galley exhibit will feature nine cottages from the book Lenox, a photo album containing â48 views of the finest houses and choicest scenery in Lenoxâ published by photographer Edward A. Morley in 1886.

Protect the Freedom to Read.â âBanned Books Week is a celebration of the freedom to read and the joy that comes from discovering stories that expand our understanding of ourselves and one another,â said American Library Association President Sam Helmick. âEvery person has the right to seek information and choose books without censorship. When we say âLet Books Be,â weâre showing up for readers everywhere and reaffirming that libraries are for everyone.â On Tuesday, October 6, Lenox Library invites you to proclaim your joy of reading during our all-day Banned Bookathon. Sign up for a 15-minute timeslot(s) to read from your favorite banned book. Need inspiration? Check out this list of the top 100 Most Frequently Challenged Books: 2010-2019 or one of our banned books displays. All bookathon readers will be entered into a raffle to win a Banned Book Bundle with some of our librariansâ favorite âbannedâ items! You bring the book, weâll provide the sparkles! What better way to highlight the beauty of your favorite banned book than with a little shimmer? We will have bedazzling supplies available for use during the event, as well as special Banned Book Week bookmarks. Participants need to supply their own banned book to work on. Ages 7 and up are welcome. Children under 10 must have adult supervision. No registration required, while supplies last.
